Co-ordinate subsidiary activities for the group
Implementation of group requirements
Advice and assistance relating to Finance, HR and Legal Matters
Reporting
Monthly report package to strict deadlines, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements
Budgets, Forecasts and Statutory accounts
Commercial
Provide advice and support to sales managers with regards to pricing, margins, settlement terms, as well as implementation of sales and marketing strategy according to group requirements
Administration
Treasury management
Cost Management - overheads, commissions, transport and installation
Management of financial accounts systems, internal control procedures and stock control
Company secretarial - statutory and legal compliance, management of health and safety policy and management of HR function
Payroll administration
VAT administration and reporting
Management of external relationships with banks, finance houses, auditors, HMRC, Insurers
Management of contracts and agreements
To be considered for the role you will be an experienced Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant, prepared to carry out a hands on role and be involved in all aspect's of the business

The Role

* Develop and maintain the strategic plan as a member of the Senior Management Team
* Budgeting and Forecasting, with the ability to prepare financial plans that incorporate the key drivers in the business
* Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiation and product investment decisions
* Evaluation, justification and preparation of submissions for capital expenditure projects
* Company Secretarial duties ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
* Responsible for the MIS and HR functions of the business
* Undertaking special projects as directed by the Managing Director
* Design, implementation and operation of a standard costing system
* Develop and deliver best practice on all financial aspects of the business
* Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment
The Candidate
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA ) with experience of a working within a manufacturing environment
* Experience in working with an International organisation
* Experience of US GAAP and an understanding of the variances with UK GAAP
* Staff management and development skills
* Ability to share in the development and growth of both a continuous improvement and lean management culture change in an engineering business
* Merger and acquisition experience, capable of understanding deal structures and Modelling various performance scenarios
* Commercial awareness, advising on the best path of value creation for the business

The Role:
• Report to the Group Finance Director and the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and gain full responsibility for delivering a value added risk and internal audit management service. This experience could be derived from holding senior management roles within industry and/or professional services.
• You will be able to demonstrate the hallmarks associated with first class training in respect to risk and audit, business performance review, financial modelling, project management and corporate development activities. International business exposure and language skills are desirable.
• The ability to exhibit gravitas, relationship management and strategic thinking ability at board level is vital. A professional, intelligent and energetic individual balanced with a pragmatic demeanour. You will thrive on adapting to a broad array of challenges and have a high degree of emotional intelligence and commercial acumen.
