Badenoch & Clark are currently hiring for a part qualified Financial Accountant for a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for monthly budget and forecasting, cash flow management, balance sheet reconciliations and continual system and process improvements.
This highly visible role requires more than just a numbers person and offers an exposure to various departments other than finance. You will be the go to person for many key stakeholders and your insight will play a pivotal role in how non finance staff understand their budgets and ultimately improve the bottom line figures.
Successful applicants will be ACCA/CIMA part qualified and ideally still studying. You will possess strong system skills, including advanced Excel ability and have demonstrable experience in a similar position.

A Part Time Accountant is required to operate firm’s accounts on Sage, two to three days per week.
Dealing with all accounting issues and various routine management responsibilities, specific duties will include:
• Production of monthly Management Accounts
• Production of accounts to trial balance
• Management of the Sales & Purchase Ledgers, dealing with all supplier and customer queries
• Cost allocations
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Credit control
• Monthly Payroll on Sage for five staff
• Liaison with the Chartered Accountants
Suitable applicants will be solid all round bookkeepers with experience in all or most of the above – exposure to management account production is essential. Good working knowledge of Excel, Sage Line 50 / Sage Payroll is also desirable. You will be flexible, accurate, hard working and a strong communicator.

The Role
You will lead a full suite of treasury services to the group. You will also gain significant exposure to M&A, board-level reporting, and project management:

- Assist in future funding plans including refinancing, new business ventures and/or acquisitions.
- Monitor interest and FOREX markets and hedging exposures and make recommendations to the Head of IR and Group Accounts.
- Oversee the day to day running of the Group's funding structure and optimising funding arrangements across the Group.
- Provide treasury input into the Group's monthly management accounts including reporting the group's interest, cash, debt and financial instrument balances.
- Provide treasury input into the Group's general financial budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure adherence to and continual improvement in Group treasury policy, procedures and compliance.
