PROJECT ENGINEER - NORTHUMBERLAND - to c50k The Project Engineer will be a senior member of the Technical Department with the key role of delivering a diverse range of major infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for all aspects of project management from brief through the design and construction phase of sometimes large, complex or highly technical schemes to successful completion. An attractive remuneration package of around £40-£50,000 salary plus significant benefits (profit related bonus, pension scheme, private medical insurance) is offered together with good career prospects. Core Activities: Manage and deliver projects through design and construction phases to successful delivery. (Initial projects to include conveyor fed warehousing, liquid bulk storage tanks, offshore energy sector related storage facilities). Review technical competency of specific disciplines i.e. electrical and mechanical. Financial management and reporting of project delivery. Provide specialist technical advice and guidance at project group level. Contribute to team performance within the technical department. Respond to client needs and company objectives. Skills: Key Skills: Effective team member The technical skills of a Senior Engineer developed to equivalent of Chartered Engineer or above. Organised and commercially aware. Good empathy with clients and management. Good communication skills. Experience of project delivery on infrastructure projects essential. Qualifications: The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level (preferably in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) and have a proven ability of contract management and site supervision. Civil engineers with experience in delivering M & E projects will also be considered. Keywords: project engineer
