They employ over 3,000 people across Europe and offer added value to all of their customers, small and large, local and pan-European, through the technical expertise of all of their people.
They now have an opportunity available at their Head Office in Wythenshawe for a Credit Services Manager to join them to manage the department of 24 staff dealing with all aspects of credit control and sales administration for a £200m + business.
Optimising cash receipts from a diverse account portfolio of 15,000+ accounts, you will manage processes to set and review credit limits to balance commercial return and risks and supervise the workflow of the department, depending on the skills sets of the department. Providing reporting on performance to the Leadership Team as well as external agencies such as insurers, auditors and banks, you will provide advice on legal issues in relation to contract terms, Companies Act legislation, disputes and insolvencies and liaise with customers to ensure terms and on-going issues are addressed and resolved.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have experience of managing a department processing large numbers of transactions and supervising a high level of staff in a credit management or similar role. With a high level of presentation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally, you should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and an understanding of Financial Accounts and an ability to determine credit ratings from data provided.
An in depth knowledge of Companies Law in particular relating to terms, conditions, legislation, company ownership and insolvency is essential and you will preferably be ICM or similarly professionally qualified.

Clarke Roberts has been instructed to recruit an Accountant by a leading independent firm of accountants.
The position will be to work with a specific client operating in the construction industry and will have a reporting line to the FD of the company. It is expected that 60% of your time will be working with this main client, and as an office based, outsourced accountant you will be responsible for:

Previous experience of the construction industry is required as is knowledge of CIS and Sage Construction. This experience may have been gained working directly in the construction industry or you may have clients that operate in this sector.
The position will also include accounts and audit based work for a more general client base however due to the nature and demands of the main client you will be office based without the need to travel to client’s premises.
You will be ACA/ACCA or QBE with experience gained in a practice but importantly will have worked in the construction industry either directly or via a portfolio of clients.

Finance Manager
Salary: Up to £30,000 dependent upon skills and competencies
Parkwood Healthcare is a subsidiary of Parkwood Holdings plc which provides community based services to the public sector. The Company operates contracts in the Healthy Living arena and has recently won a number of contracts to set up and host local Healthwatch Social Enterprises, which will complement the company’s existing health trainer contracts. Parkwood Healthcare also runs two nursing agencies in London and Hertfordshire. With projected annual revenues of £3.5 million, we now seek a new Finance Manager to take responsibility for managing all aspects of the finance function.
The role involves managing all aspects of the finance function; including but not limited to the preparation of monthly management accounts, sales and purchase ledger functions, cash management, budgeting/forecasting, implementation of financial policies and procedures, reporting to the Board of Directors and the support of operational staff in financial matters.
The main duties will include:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated duties
• Monitoring of cash to ensure the division operates within its facility on a day to day basis
• Raising sales invoices and credit control, production of weekly debtor reports
• Preparation of cashflow forecasts
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Liaison with payroll department on monthly and weekly payroll
• Preparation of year-end reconciliations and information for the Statutory Accounts and provide supporting documentation for the external auditors
Ideally candidates will be either AAT qualified with a minimum of two years post qualification experience; part ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified; or have previous management accounts experience within a similar role. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate their competence in the use of Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will work effectively as part of a team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to organise and prioritise work for completion within the set deadlines.
The successful candidate should also possess discretion, good judgement, personal motivation and the ability to work independently.
