Our client is a division of a focused international company providing outsourcing solutions and value-added distribution.
They have a proven track record of end-to-end Supply Chain Management and experience in distributing over 15,000 product lines to the retail market.
They now have an opportunity available for a Sales Ledger Supervisor to join them to manage all accounts under your remit, actively calling customers via telephone-e-mail or fax to collect overdue payments to ensure minimum disruption to cash collection and debt write off to the business.
Managing the invoice consolidation process, you will seek and set appropriate credit limits for customers from reports with credit insurer and receive and process daily cash / cheques / Bacs payments and prepare for banking each day. Ensuring receipts are correctly allocated to the appropriate account and against the appropriate invoice as soon as they are received to ensure the sales ledger is a correct reflection of the sales accounts; solving account queries and enquiries from customers and providing information to customers to aid payment of accounts.
Candidates for this role must have previous sales ledger experience coupled with excellent time management, problem solving and people management skills. With a strong level of computer literacy, you will have excellent telephone skills and be able to deal with customers in a calm and efficient manner.

The Role
To assess the initial and ongoing creditworthiness of the clients merchant acquiring facilities, ensuring the risk of loss to the client is minimised, whilst providing excellent customer service to the clients business.
Key Accountabilities
* Undertake timely credit risk information gathers, with emphasis on quality information being received recorded and understood
Significant financial acumen to enable confident discussion regarding financial statements and relevant non-financial information with customers.
* Where applicable, the ability to exercise an individual Credit Authority and/or formulate appropriate recommendations, with reference to the client policies to obtain sanction from the appropriate sanctioning authority.
* Where material deteriorating concerns are identified, or a loss to client is considered likely, undertake necessary actions to minimise potential loss and/or raise provision as appropriate and as necessary liaise with Insolvency Practitioners/Professional Advisors/Collection Agencies.
* To be able to communicate decisions / rationale in a clear and concise manner.
* To demonstrate commitment to the wider success of the credit team through team orientated skills and behaviours.
* Continuously evaluate efficiency/effectiveness and assist with implementation of new processes which lead to service improvement.
* Ensure that all systems/ databases are maintained accurately at all times, for management information reporting.
* Offer team leader/management assistance to team members
Skills & Experience
Experience of non-personal credit risk assessment practices, or similar experience in an external environment.
Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
Commercially aware of the impact of economic factors on credit risk.
Ability to interpret financial accounts to determine the creditworthiness of a business
Ideally prior team leader/manager level experience supporting between 3-6 members

My client is a Greater Manchester based, Private Equity backed, high growth business having achieved double digit growth over each of the last three years. This growth is forecast to continue over the coming years both organically and via acquisition with revenues expected to exceed the £100m mark in the near future.
Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a wider team of 28 with 4 direct reports the individual will be responsible for the management accounts team, ledgers team, invoicing team, credit control and payroll teams. This is a broad role and represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a rapidly growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the production of flash reports, management accounts, board reports, bank covenant reports within agreed time scales.
Ensuring that internal financial controls are fit for purpose and adequate to support a rapidly growing business.
Managing and motivating a team 4 direct reports on a daily basis.
Production of statutory accounts with the external accountants and management of the yearend Audit process within the tight timescales required by our investors for all group companies.
Production of tax calculations in conjunction with the external accountants.
Responsibility for all internal compliance.
Production of budget holders monthly reports, identifying areas for savings.
Cashflow forecasting and 12 monthly covenant projections.
Ongoing VAT compliance ensuring that the business is correctly accounting for VAT.
Responsibility for the credit control function ensuring that aged debt is collected on a timely basis.
Involvement in companywide business change projects led by the business transformation team.
Working with the Commercial Finance team during forecasting exercises and analysis of month end gross profit.
Management of Invoicing and WIP to ensure that the business is correctly accounting and providing for its revenue.
Involvement in preparation of shareholder presentations.
This is a fast moving business and the successful candidate will need to remain flexible and be willing to get involved in ad hoc projects as they arise. This may include assessing and incorporating acquisitions or the roll out of IT systems.
Company secretarial maintenance.
Key attributes
We are looking for a motivated self starter, who will retain ownership of any issues and look to develop the existing systems and processes.
Strong technical ability is essential and must encompass financial reporting, VAT and taxation.
Candidates must also possess the gravitas to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and to be able to clearly explain financial subject matter to a non-financial audience.

Job summary:
The Group Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Group Finance Manager and is focused on the efficient production of analysis at Group level across Profit and Loss, Cashflow and Balance Sheet with exposure to M&A projects.
About the role:
Board Reporting
• Providing support in the production of the Group Finance Report and driving efficiencies in the excel modelling behind this work.
• Responsibility for the monthly reporting and forecasting of Balance Sheet, and Cashflow across division .
Financial Modelling
• First line responsibility for the calculation and accounting for the incentive schemes. Development of the excel model and presentation of this material, including scenario modelling.
• Creation, development and maintenance of market analytics and standing data to be used in Group presentations and in interpreting trends/analytics etc. This is with a view to greater data integrity and efficiency of production.
• Assisting the Group Finance Manager in driving the quarterly forecast (outturn) process through liaison with divisional finance teams and appropriate level of data collection and interpretation.
Business Planning
• Assist in producing effective Business Plans and Annual Budgets, including providing the appropriate levels of both challenge and support
Provide Group and Business specific base data, reference points and context for long term strategic thinking and decision making
• Analyse and challenge Group business financials and assist in production of final Board reports.
• Generate, maintain and develop a Long-term Financial Forecasting and valutaion model for the Business that will provide the long term outlook for the business.
• Develop the linkage between / reflection of significant capital, property and commercial business cases and the capital, income and cost.
Working Capital Management and Balance Sheet Analysis
• Overview and maintenance of central provision schedules and feeding into the half year and full year statutory processes.
• Understanding, reporting and analysing Group wide Capex, including the development of a model to record data at an appropriate level for group reporting.

o ACA/CIMA qualified accountant
o Excellent interpersonal, management & influencing skills. Can influence at all levels in the business in order to engage the co-operation of people who are not direct reports.
