Our client one of the leading contractors in the oil & gas industry are looking for an Internal Auditor to join their International Audit Team. Based in London, the international audit team travel around the world to ensure that internal procedures, process and financial issues are correctly managed according to internal best practice. A maximum of 5 years experience in audit within industry is required and the ability to travel worldwide on a regular basis. Qualification from a Top 10 practice would be benefitial.
Duties will include:
- Perform risk assessment and audit work
- Testing, analysing and evaluating internal controls
- Compliance reviews
- Develop audit programmes and systems
- Identify risks
- Document audit work
You must have
- A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or demonstrable experience
- At least 3 years relevant experience in a large organisation
- Be able to travel 70% of the year

A market leading media business is currently recruiting an Internal Auditor to join their highly regarded Internal Audit team based in London.
The position reports to the Senior Audit Manager who is based in the UK. The role is highly autonomous and you will get lots of exposure to senior managers across the business. The Internal Audit role sits at Group level, although you will be responsible for audits across the entire business, including all subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and completing detailed audit reviews across the business. This includes both financial and operational reviews, with an emphasis on operational audits
- An element of SOX compliance work across the group
- Involvement in special projects and investigations
The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability and must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent). My client is looking for candidates who have a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
The business is truly international meaning there will be travel involved in the role. You can expect to travel in the region of 50% of your time - this includes Europe and Asia, as well as the UK. My client is a market leading Financial Services business, who are currently looking to add an ACA qualified audit professional to their established team based in London. The ideal candidate will currently be working for a Top 4 Practice with specific exposure to Financial Services Audit in the UK.
You will have a strong accounting knowledge in Financial Services and be keen embark on a career within Internal Audit.

As an Auditor your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* An ACA/ACCA/ qualification with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
* Degree calibre candidate, ideally achieved in a numerical subject
* Ideally you will have experience of external or internal audit or have experience in an accounting function
* You will have an understanding of risks in a bank and associated controls.
* You will have experienced in dealing with complex concepts, identifying control issues and confidently discussing them with senior stakeholders.
* You will have experience of managing teams and drive an audit project independently.
* Strong business report writing skills including preparation of presentations for senior management in the bank
* An understanding of the UK financial services regulatory framework
* Excellent analytical skills, including a proficient in Microsoft Office including Pivot Tables and complex formulas.
As an Auditor your main responsibilities will involve:
* Participating in internal audit reviews to assess the management and control of risk
* Involved in all aspects of the audit from planning the engagement, identification of key risks and coordination of fieldwork, through to drafting of recommendations and eventual reporting.
* Ensuring that all audits meet internal audit plan timescales and comply with internal audit methodology and quality requirements specifically documentation in the audit software
* Managing relationships with key stakeholders across the business
