Greenwellgleeson ltd have been instructed to recruit a credit controller for a business based in South Birmingham. Part of a large group, you will be responsible for your own ledger as part of a large team. Duties are to include: working to personal cash collection targets, aiding customers to agreed terms of debtor payments, reconciling accounts, allocation of payments on ledgers, monthly reviews, ensuring an up to date data base, working with managers to identify potential risks, concerns and opportunities and also debt reporting. You will have excellent communication skills, energetic, driven and have a desire to do well in your role and further your career. You will have at least a years experience in a credit control based role, and have brilliant customer service skills to be able to provide a fantastic professionalism and conduct in your role, to be a valuable member of a very strong and hard working team.
You will ideally be readily available to start work immediately or within a few weeks.

I'm currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a busy and highly targeted Finance Team based in Birmingham.
The successful candidates main focus will be on maximising the collection of outstanding debt, being responsible for managing 800 live accounts, logging queries and building relationships with internal and external customers.
To succeed in this role you will have to have had previous experience in dealing with large amounts of incoming calls at peak times, query resolution, working towards targets and preferably have worked in a shared service environment.
Previous Credit Control experience is vital.

Hudson is recruiting a Head of Credit Risk to join a well respected financial institution in the West Midlands. In this business critical role you will be responsible to the Executive Team for the management of the organisations risk appetite. Moreover you will develop and maintain appropriate credit policies for commercial and treasury lending activities, ensuring that an effective framework for credit risk management is maintained and monitored.
This is a varied role that will require a strategic outlook alongside a pragmatic approach. You will be a team player and your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and controlling lending post sanction and providing advice and guidance to business development staff on all matters relating to commercial lending
* Maintaining control of the Credit Risk function within agreed policies, procedures and discretionary limits.
* Working as a constructive member of the institutions Credit Committee and ensuring the delivery of those duties as described in the businesses Commercial Credit Risk Policy.
* Ensuring that an effective framework for credit risk is in place for all lending activities.
* Providing input and challenge to banking functions alongside understanding credit risk related implications of new strategies and products.
* Reviewing Commercial and Treasury credit policies annually and making recommendations for required changes to ensure that the policies are aligned to the business strategy and economic environment.
* Ensuring that credit activities are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures, and that all regulatory requirements are met.
* Acting as the centre of excellence for all credit matters and providing direct assistance as necessary to all staff involved in commercial and treasury operational activities.
* Monitoring all lending assets and deliver agreed management information as described in procedures, including risk assessment reporting to the organisations Credit Committee and Executive Risk Review Committee.
* Assessing, authorising and monitoring lending within delegated discretion, as outlined in the Commercial Credit Risk Policy and procedures.
* Assessing and monitoring lending propositions outside own lending discretion, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Managing the institutions problem debt connections within procedures (and where applicable supported by first line management) in order to protect the businesses outstanding loans, agree work-out strategies to minimise the risk of loan impairment/loss.
* Reviewing and monitoring the institutions Treasury counterparties, ensuring exposures are within agreed limits and that the overall Treasury portfolio is within parameters set out in the Treasury Credit Risk Policy.
* Working with the Finance function and assessing the credit risk implications in proposals for changes to the structure of the organisations treasury management framework, particularly new counterparties or instruments.
* Management of all staff in the credit function, ensuring that all staff are fully trained, perform to role requirements and aware of regulatory and compliance controls. At the same time, maintaining an environment of continual improvement and encourage recommendations for change.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications
* ACIB qualified with knowledge of corporate banking
* A strong track record in credit decision making in all asset classes
* Sound credit judgement demonstrated by experience of holding substantial delegated authority
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* A customer focused approach
* Outstanding communication and listening skills
* A solution and results driven approach
* A successful record of delivering change.
